We sell other people's machines. Honestly.
We buy, broker and re-sell professional equipment. This is the second-hand side of Mecivi and it works differently from the shop: we do not hold a warehouse of used stock, we take on equipment that belongs to somebody else and sell it on their behalf.
What we actually do
We take on equipment that belongs to somebody else, go and see it, and sell it on that owner's behalf. The seller keeps it until it sells. We take a commission out of the sale, agreed in writing before anything is published.
That can be one machine, a few, or everything in a kitchen or bakery that is closing. We would rather take the whole room than one item.
Why buy used from us
The problem with second-hand equipment is never the price, it is trust. Every listing online says perfect condition, and the buyer is asked to send a deposit for something they have never seen, to somebody they have never met.
So we go and look at it. We photograph it, film it running, and write down what is wrong with it as well as what is right. If a machine has a worn belt, a noisy bearing or a missing guard, that goes in the listing. A buyer who knows the faults will send a deposit. A buyer who suspects there are hidden ones will not.
The deposit is held by us and released to the seller on collection. That is what our commission actually buys, for both sides.
From your floor to the buyer's
You send the list
One machine or a whole kitchen. Make, model and a couple of photos are enough to start. We tell you honestly whether it will move and roughly at what price.
We come and see it
We photograph it, film it running, and note the faults as well as the condition. The mandate and the commission are agreed in writing before anything is published.
It goes to our buyers first
Bakeries, restaurants, hotels and dealers we already sell new equipment to see it before it goes anywhere public.
Deposit, collection, payment
We hold the deposit, arrange collection or freight, and release the money to you once the machine is collected. You keep title until then.
Why sell through us
Because we already have the buyers. Mecivi sells new equipment to bakeries, restaurants, hotels and dealers across Europe, and a good number of them would rather spend half as much on something solid and used. Yours goes to those people first, before it goes anywhere public.
No listing fee, and nothing to pay if it does not sell.

Pasta, gelato, bakery and packaging lines, dismantled and moved as one job.
Parts, dies & accessories
Bronze dies, moulds, spare parts and attachments. Small on their own, worth real money to the right buyer.
